A safari involves more planning than most trips, and the questions below cover what guests ask most often before they arrive. From the best time of year to visit and what to pack, to which camp suits which kind of traveller and how activities are structured, most of what you need to know is here. If something is missing, the reservations team would rather answer a specific question properly than leave you to guess.

The best time for a Namibian safari is between April and September. May to July are the cooler, drier months when wildlife concentrates at waterholes and sightings are at their most consistent. October to February brings warmer temperatures, spectacular thunderstorms, young animals, and some of the finest photography conditions of the year. The summer months are also shoulder season, with more affordable rates and fewer visitors across Namibia.
