Onguma Tamboti Luxury Campsite
Tamboti Luxury Campsite is Onguma's flagship camping experience and one of the best-positioned campsites in the Etosha area. Twenty-five spacious campsites sit among the trees of the reserve, each designed with privacy and comfort in mind. A restaurant overlooking a waterhole, a swimming pool, and a fully stocked supply store make Tamboti a self-contained base for self-drive travellers exploring Etosha and the surrounding region. The Von Lindequist Gate is four minutes away.
The Campsites
Each of the 25 luxury campsites includes:
- Private ablution facility with spacious shower room and separate toilet
- Covered wash-up area
- Ample power points for camping fridges, cameras, and devices
- Daily servicing
- Natural shade from established trees
- Generous space to unpack and set up camp comfortably
For groups or friends travelling together, a selection of campsites are positioned closer to one another.

Activities
Tamboti guests have access to the full range of Onguma activities, including private game drives across the 35,970 hectare reserve, Etosha excursions through the Von Lindequist Gate, guided bush walks, the Onkolo Hide, the Dream Cruiser sleep-out, and spa treatments. All activities are charged separately and must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.
