Onguma Media receives a Gold Award at ITFFA 2025

‘Beyond the Dust – A Tourism Conservation Success Story’ has won a Gold award in the Category Wildlife & Conservation Films, part of the International Tourism Film Festival Africa 2025

The festival’s seventh edition drew 448 entries from 60 countries. A diverse jury panel of 48, which brought together professionals with expertise in Marketing, Tourism, and Audio-visual, was dedicated to evaluating the audio-visual productions and selecting the winners.

Onguma Media receives a Silver Award at ITFFA 2024

Last week we were delighted to attend our very first ITFFA event where we picked up a Silver Award for the category of Sustainable Tourism for the series “A Day In The Life Of the Onguma Reserve”

International Tourism Film Festival Africa Celebrates Storytelling, Conservation, and Cultural Heritage in Groundbreaking 6th Edition Johannesburg, South Africa – June 18, 2024 – The 6th annual International Tourism Film Festival Africa (ITFFA), held from June 11-15, 2024, has concluded with a resounding celebration of compelling storytelling, wildlife conservation, and the rich cultural heritage of Africa and beyond. The festival, brought to you by the Sustainable Tourism Partnership Programme NPC and executed by Legito Publishing, showcased an impressive 436 entries from 61 countries, marking an 18% increase from the previous year.

ITFFA 2024

This year’s festival featured a remarkable 300% increase in series entries, with 11 series competing across various categories. The films were judged on seven key criteria: impact, creativity, sound, style, subject matter, storytelling, and goal effectiveness, with scores out of 10 awarded by an esteemed panel of 46 jury members, equally representing the film and digital creation industries and the tourism sector.
